With the sensational news that Crunchi has launched their F I R S T E V E R eyeshadow palette with 4 new shades, it’s super important to talk about why we should care about what we put on our eyelids.
We’ve all heard that the skin around our eyes is sensitive and requires gentle care… but what about the product that sits there? Our eyes give us the gift of sight, so let’s treat our eyes to ingredients and minerals that don’t compromise that.
Have you had trouble wearing eyeshadow before?!
Or anything on your eyes because you break out in a rash, itch, swell, etc?! Could toxins in cosmetics be contributing to that? ABSOLUTELY!
Conventional Eyeshadows include some of these nasty toxins:
- Bismuth Oxycloride
- Parabens
- Talc
- Dyes
- PEGs
- Polysorbates
- Phenoxyethanol
- Japanese Honeysuckle Extract
- PTFE (Teflon)
- Heavy Metals
All of these are contributing to reproductive issues, developmental problems, Endocrine Disruption, Allergies/irritation, Immunotoxicity, carcinogen contamination, and the list just keeps going…
I am celebrating the launch of Crunchi’s first shadow bar, as so many women will be blessed by a product that not only performs like conventional eye shadows we love, but also gives us a solution for toxin-filled products. Let’s reduce our own body burden together and quit sacrificing our health for our beauty!

Heavy Metals fill up cosmetics like eyeshadow, and really, heavy metals are a wholeee other topic I need to address another day! But it’s certainly not a good thing.
This is why I feel so strongly that minerals used in color cosmetics need to be tested for heavy metals and/or be EcoCert minerals (the purest mineral there is!).
